MPA delivered the construction of Norton Rose Fulbright's eight-level workplace, located in 60 Martin Place.

Norton Rose Fulbright

Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the world’s largest law firms engaged MPA to construct their eight-level workplace, situated in the newly constructed 60 Martin Place building.

The project consists of two client facing floors which include meeting rooms, board room, seminar rooms, café, outdoor terrace and two commercial kitchens. With the remaining floors housing workstations, collaboration spaces and breakout areas.

Interconnecting stairs are used throughout all the levels, with four sets of stairs connecting the top six levels and a complex spiral staircase linking the two client facing floors.

Due to the access restrictions to the floors and the shape of the stair itself, the exoskeleton of the stair was constructed by individually welding one metre wide curved steel sections together to create a single solid steel structure. The stair treads and risers were then infilled and cladded in timber.

During construction working closely with the base builders led to additional projects with their team post handover.

Working to a 20-week program the team successfully helped 700-plus Norton Rose Fulbright team members to relocate their new workplace.

"MPA worked collaboratively with both Norton Rose Fulbright, the building owner and the wider consulting team. Their early involvement had a significant positive impact on both the program and cost outcomes of the project. The MPA team members were responsive to our requests, provided practical insights to buildability and alternative solutions. We are not only pleased with the outcomes but also to have participated in a collaborative and rewarding experience.”
