Canaccord Genuity Australia engaged MPA to build their new workplace in prestigious 101 Collins St, where collaboration and social interaction were at the centre of the brief.
Canaccord Genuity Australia
Canaccord Genuity Australia made the decision to relocate their office in Melbourne CBD and engaged us to deliver the project. Located on level 42 of the prestigious 101 Collins Street, the 1,575 sqm open-plan office feels more like a hotel than a workplace, with luxury finishes and attention to detail throughout.
It is a privilege when we get to work with clients who place the wellbeing of their people as their priority. This was the case with our forward-thinking client Canaccord, who cited collaboration and social interaction at the centre of the brief for their new workplace.
Comprising 12 meeting rooms and various breakout areas, with custom low-level lighting and integrated stone and leather joinery, the result is a sophisticated and high-end space for employees and clients.
The premium front-of-house facilities with elaborate features include a two-person leather top, segmented stone face reception desk, open-plan waiting area and exclusive artwork.
Distinguishing timber veneer clad walls line the corridors and various rooms along with bespoke grooved acoustic panels throughout meeting rooms with feature batten ceiling system through front of house areas.
Custom lighting throughout with curved LED’s were installed in coffered perimeters through corridors and meeting rooms. Stone and leather clad joinery are featured throughout the fitout and porcelain tiles line the corridors with plush broadlooms in meeting rooms providing a comfortable quality touch. Waterstone polished plaster was applied to feature walls along with client supplied artwork with spotlights providing excellent visuals and an elegant feel throughout the tenancy.
The Executive Rooms occupy a quarter of the floor plate with west facing corner office with private dining room, supporting staff area, chairman’s lounge with kitchen and banquette seating. To compliment the private entertaining spaces, there is a private client shower and bathroom with a dedicated changing room.
The open workstation areas occupy 50% of the floorplate and accommodates 104 staff, with the remaining made up of 12 various sized meeting rooms including an 18-seat boardroom, breakout spaces, two-person reception desk and large waiting area and a dedicated six-person IT room next to the comms room.
We had extensive experience working in this building with stakeholders on prior projects, so we were able to utilise this knowledge and counteract any delays to the project.
Through constant communication and a considered program, we ensured that Canaccord were able to occupy the space within the relocation times.
