DLA Piper - Perth
DLA Piper engaged MPA as they moved into the landmark 240 Street Georges Terrace high-rise, in the heart of the Perth CBD.
It was key for DLA Piper to achieve flexibility, innovation and collaboration; so the space was constructed with a combination of offices, open plan workspaces, meeting rooms, quiet rooms and breakout space. The latest in virtual meeting and AV technology was also incorporated.
The completed space features standout elements including a striking feature ceiling, ceramic tiling, high-end front of house and barista café. It also incorporates unique features of the Western Australian landscape, including the rich tones of its mineral resources and a selection of local timbers.
MPA worked with the consultant team and Aboriginal artist and Noongar man Dr Richard Walley, who was commissioned to create a number of bespoke pieces. Each one provides a sense of place and connection with the community.
The two-level fitout was delivered over 14 weeks, with early engagement allowing MPA to achieve value management initiatives without compromising design intent.
